Quilternity and Music eternity
Hooray! My birthday fabric has finally arrived. Last year between Christmas and New Year's, I ordered fabric from From Here to Quilternity. I hadn't thought about it again until Cyndee sent me a link to their 35% off sale. I couldn't resist. I think some of these fabrics will find their way into Bonnie's quilt along.
I am so easily influenced. Ruth has been so happy about her new piano, (can't wait to see it next week at Block Exchange) that I got out some of my old piano music and have actually played a few times in the last couple of weeks. This old standby was one of my recital pieces when I was a kid. The notes written in pencil marks are from the time Ian thought he would learn the piano but was soon on to other things. What really got to me though was the copyright date: 1964. It seems like an eternity ago but since I started taking piano lessons when I was nine years old, this was probably a new piece of music then! Ouch!

The copyright may be 1964, but it had to have been written before 1827, since the Big B died then!
HOORAY for playing the piano again!

I, too, have been trying out my old Fur Elise music. I'm loving playing my piano, but let's just say my performance is "not for prime time" and perhaps will never be (altho the dogs no longer leave the room when I start to play to piano, so that's an improvement).
The copyright on my version of Fur Elise is 1946 (and for some reason, it is called "For Eloise" in my music book ... hmmm).
Love your birthday fabric - be fun to see it in Quilt A Long blocks!
Lisa, you're on a roll. With quilting and a few other things. You go, Girl! Daisy
Some really great fabrics. Have you ever seen "Immortal Beloved". It is a historical fiction movie about Beethoven (?mispelled). It includes a possible explanation of who Elise was and great unrequited love story.
This takes me back to my piano playing days --- John Thompson --- ugh! I'm sure it was good learning, but I never had the pleasure of playing Fur Elise. My sister has our family piano --- I'll have to ask her, if she ever plays it.
I played that !!!!!!!
