Last night we got dumped on again. But look on the bright side, it's only half of what they got on the East Coast. I came home from class Tuesday night about 7:30 and tried twice to make it up my driveway. No go. So I had to shovel before I could put my car away. This morning the driveway didn't even look like I had shoveled at all.
But look at it now! It took about an hour this morning to get it cleared. The sun is out and it actually felt warm. I have a hard time agreeing that it's pretty since I'm not a fan of winter but it's "OK".
While I was out, the neighbor's garage door opened and I heard, "Oh yeah, this is what I'm talkin' about!". The two little kids next door (4 & 6?) were home from school and much happier about the snow than I.Is that a polar bear in a snowstorm? No, just Gennie.
Her opinions of snow run right along with mine.
DRAT!!! While I have been writing this post, the snowplow has filled the bottom of my driveway with backwash. Here we go again!

Ooooooh, those snowplows should have to have a maximum speed that they can drive so that they DON'T fill in people's shoveled driveways... that is always so frustrating. So while we are shivering in our tents down here in sunny and low-30s Florida, I'll count my many blessings, you among them. Phone Jon and go cross-country skiing with him - you can use my skis etc. If you go to Rose Lake, you can go across the straight "street", and he can go off on the side trails... Enjoy!

Is it okay if I miss the snow? It was 45 degrees in L.A. this morning. The local mountains have snow (down to about 2000 feet) so we get to look at it. The fruit trees in the yard aren't in danger yet!
I'm in agreement with you on the snow, you see one flake, you've seen them all. Enough already!!!
The only consolation about the plows is that they were spinning their tires this morning and not getting any traction on the icey roads. So sorry you have to shovel three times. It was quite heavy, the stuff they dump it in the driveway at least. It builds strong muscles? Well, maybe it does.
I admired your clean driveway, when I drove past it! I'm not a great fan of winter, but have to admit, I missed it, when we lived in California. Once a Midwesterner, always a Midwesterner. Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons and you don't have them, without the cold and snow!
