Little Brown Church in the Vale - not quite
Here's the church that is going into the tree quilt. I especially like the way the stained glass windows turned out.
This is one of the filler blocks. There are three of these. There are also some four-patches and "fence" blocks yet to come.
Here's a rooster from a quilt at Sauder. I've been saving black and white and yellow fabrics for my someday "Chicken Quilt". This big fellow is giving me inspiration. I caught the end of the movie 'The Bucket List' on TV last night. Now what kind of a list would you make for those "someday" quilts?

how about a chicken in the trees???
Love them all, Lisa. Especially your little church. AND your new 4-legged family member! I'm watching a black lab pup grow up next door to me. They got her when she was six weeks old and she's gotten soooooo big already. Liz brings her over to my yard and she and Gracie love racing around together. Her name is Izzy -- from Izzo! Daisy
The whole church has a stained-glass window look to it - love it! I like watching this quilt come together. Are you getting close to finishing the top?
We do need a better name than "bucket list" for the quilts we want to make (altho I do like the idea of you having "Chicken in a Bucket" for yours). What about "basket list"?
I found your blog via Kate's ALQS (which I hope to participate in this round). I like the chicken, and have made some myself in black, white and red. They're not quite as realistic as the one in the photo, but if you want to take a peek at my flickr page to see them (and free link to pattern - no affiliation), it's http://www.flickr.com/photos/misha-stack/4242305693/in/set-72157623774417500/
