Quilt Swap

I decided to join an online quilt swap.  This is my 8.5" x 11" entry and it's even done on time!

I used fusing, buttons, beads and even some baby rickrack I found in my stash. There was no date on the rickrack wrapping insert but I think it's probably left over from the 40's. It was given to me from a friend's mother's estate.  I wonder what our estate sales will look like or will my kids just send everything to the landfill? Fiber recycling? Grind it up for insulation?

Very nice use of color and it certainly looks contemporary. Are you getting one back?

It looks even better in person! I was admiring it on Monday nite. :)

Love it, Lisa. Beautiful colors and I love the rick rack story. Like Carol, I'm assuming you will be getting one in return. Can't wait to see it! Daisy

Yes, I will be getting one back. You send in a list of your "top 10" (there are about 40 participants) and usually are able to get one of your favorites in return. I'm almost as excited to see where in the world I'm going to send mine as I am to see which one I get!

Wow, Lisa!

What a wonderfully active and cheerful quilt! I hope the one you get in return suits you as well. I think about that "estate stash" a lot - hopefully the Sues will take first dibs! BTW, that rick-rack covered up the line of the let-down hem very well, thank you very much! With three older sisters...
