Letting Go... or not
In a previous post, Cyndee noted that I had donated this wall hanging to the Solar Circle project. Yes, I did. And on Saturday, I went to the "Alternative Holiday Sale" and bought it back. I guess I wasn't ready to part with it. My mom likes it and she may receive it for Christmas. She said something about having a place for it near the piano... I've already added a few wooden buttons and some beads since Saturday (not in this photo). We'll just have to see what it looks like by December 25th.

Good for you! And for your Mom! When my Mom used to bake bread and pies for bake sales at our church or college, my Dad would try to get there first to buy them back. :)
That gives me a chuckle, but I can see why you didn't want to let it go --- it is really an effective use of the fabric. I probably should dig my "leftovers" out and see what I can do with them.
What a wonderful and generous thing to do. Two wins for this act, you donated to Solar Circle and you can gift the quilt to your Mom. Precious!!
That sounds like something I would do. Its great that it will turn into a gift for you Mom.
Lisa, I can understand your buying the quilt back. And of course your Mom will be more than pleased. Quite often I buy back the auction quilts that either the Charm or Six Pack groups make because I really like what we do. Daisy
